The conference trip
The conference trip will take place on Wednesday afternoon and it will be a boat cruise on the river Tejo. The boat leaves at 3pm from the boat station Terreiro do Paço (Estação Fluvial do Terreiro do Paço) [map]. The boat will travel upstream until Parque das Nações [map] and then it will turn back and continues until the Belém Tower [map] (Torre de Belém), where we'll disembark. They will serve soft drinks on the boat, and guide will be available in several languages.
We arranged two buses that will take the participants to Terreiro do Paço boat station [map]. The buses will leave at 2pm from the conference venue [map].
The conference dinner
The conference dinner will start after the boat trip at 8pm in the restaurant Tromba Rija (Rua Cintura do Porto de Lisboa, Edifício 254 – Armazém 1, Lisboa, Phone: +351 213 971 507) [map]. The restaurant offers buffet style meal with a large selection of traditional Portuguese dishes.
Between the trip and the dinner
Between the trip and the dinner you can take a walk in Belém and see the most important sights, such as the Belém Tower [map], Jerónimos Monastery [map], Monument to the Discoveries [map]. One important thing you should not miss is to have a coffee and a Pastel de Belém in the famous Antiga Confeitaria de Belém. [map]
Our rented bus will pick us up in Belém and take us to the restaurant. After the dinner, the buses will take the participants back to Hotel Zurique.
The price of the trip and the dinner is already included in the registration fee.
