Instructions for Submission of Papers to the Proceedings of
the
International Conference on Algebras, Modules and Rings
Papers should be submitted in electronic form to proc.lisboa03@cii.fc.ul.pt,
preferably in LaTEX form. Please send the source along
with a dvi or pdf file. Submissions will be
automatically forwarded to the Editors. You can indicate the
editor of your choice.
- In case you use LaTEX, you are allowed to use
any of the standard packages. In particular, the
preferred document class is amsart. A template
for the article structure is available.
- You can use every kind of personal commands, but please
use them the standard LaTEX way, i.e., with \newcommand
and \newenvironment. Do not use \def,
as it is easy to redefine with it very important LaTEX
commands.
- To ensure uniform appearance to the volume, please use emphasis
in italics rather than boldface, when indicating defined
terms, i.e., use \emph{...}.
- If you are using amsart, give separate entries
for all authors, as shown in the template; if you use article,
use the standard LaTEX way of specifying them.
- Do not try to correct Overfull hboxes, as the
line width will probably change in the final version. On
the other hand avoid in-line long formulas. Remember that
paragraphs are ended with a blank line and not with \\
commands. Moreover, use \[...\] constructs
rather than $$...$$.
- If you have to draw commutative diagrams, the preferred
way of setting them is through the Xy-pic package. If you
don't know about it, use your favorite package.
- In case you need to insert graphic material, please refer
to the specific instructions.
- Bibliographic entries are best treated with BibTEX;
in this case you should supply the bib file
along with the others. However, normal bibliography at
the end of the paper is accepted. For uniformity,
numerical citations are preferred, using the standard \cite
command.
- If you are not able to use LaTEX, you can also
send the paper in Plain TEX or AMS-TEX;
note that other formats, like ConTEXt, are not
accepted.
- In case you want to use MicroSoft Word® or
Sun StarOffice®, you should send the source
in the same way as for the TEX submissions by
e-mail, but you are also required to send also a hard
copy of the paper with the source on diskette to the Copy
