Museum
The City Council invites all participants to a reception at the
City Museum, next to the conference venue. The Museum's gardens
will be open from 18.00.
15/07/2003, 18.15 - Book Party
The bookshop Livraria Escolar Editora, across the road in Campo
Grande, kindly invites all participants to a Port wine reception.
16/07/2003, 13.00 - sardinhada
Portuguese grilled sardines for lunch, on the lawn in front of
the building C8.
18/07/2003, 20.30 - Conference Dinner
Dinner will take place at Restaurant Nobre, on the top floor (with a balcony
overlooking the river) of the shopping center Vasco da
Gama, in Parque das Nações, site of Expo 98, close
to the River Tagus, in Lisbon. Some photos

19/07/2003 - Full Day Excursion to Óbidos,
Nazaré, Alcobaça
Departure at 09.00 from the conference
venue; visit to Alcobaça and its Monastery; lunch (not
included) in Nazaré, by the sea; tour of the medieval village of
Óbidos. See our photos from the North
of Portugal, where you can find Óbidos, Nazaré, Alcobaça,
among other places.
The conference dinner and the excursion can be booked and paid for in Lisbon (in cash), during the first 2 days of the conference, subject to availability (not many places left for dinner!).
